TRANSFER INFORAMATION

The deadline to transfer is Sept 17

Registered athletes unable to participate will be allowed to transfer their entry to another athlete and/or event distance up to September 17, 2009. There is a $20 transfer fee. Athletes are required to notify the race director in writing or e-mail with the information necessary to complete the transfer (name, gender, age, date of birth, USAT membership status). All additional fees MUST be paid prior to packet pick-up. The race director reserves the right to decline a transfer request. There are no refunds.

USAT Sanctioned

USA Triathlon Sanctioned EventUSAT single-event fee of $10 must be paid by entrants who do not have a verified current USAT license. You must show your USAT card and photo I.D. when picking up your race packet or pay $10 for the single-event fee. Participants born in 1993 or later pay only $5 for a 12 month license. No exceptions!

Wetsuits are recommended and that the anticipated temperature is approximately 65-67 degrees

Wave Starts

Beginning with the Olympic Course waves will start at 7:30 am with 7 minute intervals. Waves will be grouped by age divisions for men and women.

There will be a time credit for racers stopped By the train during the bike course.

Participants are to use EXTRA caution when riding down the GREEN WELL hill as it is one lane and there is gravel and a sharp right turn at the bottom.

RAIN-CHECK POLICY

We are no longer offering a rain check.

GROUP DISCOUNT POLICY

10% Club Discounts are available for club groups of ten or more. A $15.00 late fee applies to all individual entries received or postmarked after August 6,
2010.

Entries must be submitted as follows:

Discounted Registration Fees: Olympic Course: $108.00      |     Sprint Course: $85.50

  1. All entry forms are to be submitted and mailed together by post mail. Entry
    forms must be received on or before September 1.
  2. All Club Group Registrations and fees must include $10 USAT Permit fee for
    non-USAT-members.
  3. A Club Group Roster must be submitted along with the entries listing club name,
    a primary contact name, contact phone number, contact e-mail address, and the
    individual names in the group.
  4. Individuals registered under a club group discount cannot transfer their entry
    to another party at the discounted rate. Race Director reserves the right to
    collect the full entry fee and late fee, if applicable, at the time of transfer. Fees
    will be charged to the transferee.

Packet Pick-up

Packet Pick up will be held, Saturday, September 26, 2009 at the
Linden Field (Carpinteria State Beach) from 1-6pm [MAP]

There will be limited packet pick up on Sunday between 6-7 AM
